Austrian Interior Minister "Gerhard Karner" confirmed that this year has seen a significant decrease in the number of arrests of smugglers and refugees compared to the previous year

Karner said in a statement that the immigration situation is currently " comfortable "in the state of Burgenland, pointing out that while 25 smugglers were arrested in January and February last year, only one smuggler was arrested this year.
